BCMS Dashboard tour

The BCMS dashboard is where you manage content, structure, media, and users. Here's a quick overview of each section.

The left sidebar gives you access to all core features.

  • Administration

    • Templates - Create and edit content structures

    • Groups - Organize groups of fields for templates and widgets

    • Widgets - Define reusable blocks inside entry content

    • Media manager - Upload and organize files and folders

    • Settings - Manage project settings, api keys, permissions, and team

    • Trash - Access recently deleted items

  • Entries – Manage your actual content

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find:

  1. Project switcher - Jump between projects

  2. Global search - Find entries, media, or templates

  3. User menu - Access your account or log out

Templates section

Templates define what kind of content your project holds.

  • Click Create new template to add a new structure

  • Use drag and drop to arrange fields

  • Add fields like Text, Image, or Group


Entries section

Entries are your content items.

  • Select a template to view its entries

  • Click Create new entry to add a new one

  • Created at and Updated at are visible at a glance


Media manager

The media manager lets you upload, preview, and organize digital files and folders

  • Drag and drop to upload

  • Create folders to stay organized

  • Preview images, videos, and PDFs


Widgets

Widgets are reusable blocks inside entry Content.

  • Add widgets like Gallery, Quote, or Embed

  • Use them in between paragraphs

  • Maintain structure even in free-form content


Use the search bar (⌘+K) at the top to find anything:

  • Entries by title

  • Templates by name

  • Media by filename

Project settings

In Settings, you can:

  • Rename your project

  • Set default languages

  • Configure permissions

  • Invite team members

  • Configure API keys

  • Set up Webhooks

  • Set up Dependencies

  • Manage environment variables
